Music has always been a big part of Chloë's life - she started learning the clarinet aged 8, inspired by her piano-playing great grandmother Peggy's love of old jazz artists. Though classically trained, Chloë has a very eclectic taste in music, strengthened by her queer identity, love of queer history and the role music plays in this.
During rehearsals, the choir are treated to a miscellany of mental imagery that Chloë uses to get just the right feel of a piece within the group. Examples include large stone trolls stepping into thick mud, and a jar of marbles being poured down a dry riverbed!
